Curling Your Hair With Straighteners
Curling your hair with straighteners can be tricky but it only takes a few technique tips and
some playing around and you’ll be a pro in no time!
A good place to start is with a quality iron and Cloud Nine is where its at. They have an adjustable temperature gauge.
Finer hair drop the temp down so your not over heating your hair, thicker hair pump it up to get a great result.
Make sure you’ve applied a quality heat protector. Any of Goldwells Straight style range is perfect!
We stock Cloud Nine straighteners in salon so if you don’t have a pair call in and grab a pair.
Section hair so you have roughly an inch worth of hair, it can’t be too thick as the heat of either side of the iron needs to make it all the way
through the section otherwise you’ll get weird curls. Take a small portion of the hair and clamp your irons around it, turn the irons one full turn and
slowly pull down the hair towards the ends. If it starts to catch you have twisted the irons too much.
I always find curling so the curls twist away from the face tend to sit nicer but have a play and see what works for you.
Try not to touch the curls until they’ve cooled down, then run some Goldwell Elixir Versatile oil through the
ends and set with Goldwell Magic Finish hair spray and your ready to have fab hair! 🙂
So hopefully that points you in the right direction, if you want more help book in for
a consultation today and one of the team would be happy to help.
